Port Shepstone Area – KwaZulu Natal: Our client is looking for a Production Manager to join the team.

The suitably experienced/qualified person would be responsible for the daily planning, organization, supervision and administration of all production activities across the banana and macadamia farming operations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant agricultural qualification
• At least 2-years relevant farming experience in a managerial position
• Proven track record in managing a large team (65+)
• Experience with banana and macadamia farming
• Computer literate
• Experience in applying a disciplinary code and conducting hearings
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong admin and record keeping skills, good in problem solving & good interpersonal relationship
• Maintenance and mechanically orientated
• Valid driver’s license

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Preparation of workforce plans and schedules
• Effective management of staff against performance and quality standards
• Implementation and adherence of staff to health and safety regulations
• Implementation of regenerative farming practices across the farm
• Maintenance of records and documentation
