MARKETING & OFFICE ASSISTANT MANAGER

Vryburg / Kuruman Area – North West:  Our agricultural client needs to an a new member to their growing team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Degree in marketing and administration
  • Min of 3-5 years proven administration experience
  • 1-2 years previous experience in the fresh produce market, highly advantageous
  • Computer literate and strong excel skills
  • Basic SAGE accounting experience advantageous

Duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Data reading, analysing and application

Interacting with agents, customers and suppliers

Marketing potatoes for the fresh produce market during harvest time and evaluating the distribution of the product based on data analysis (Decide which markets the loads should go to each day based on sales reports and the markets’ capacity, communicate continuously with market agents, decide where loads go before 12h every day and print loading report for 5 trucks to be dispatched between 12h and 14h.)

Coordination of transport to fresh produce markets during harvest

Stock recordings and ordering of packaging material

Marketing of livestock, bulls and production auction

Reading and checking stud cattle data

Bulls’ fertility certificates check and fill in on sale document

Requesting quotations for feedlot, potato or personal purchases from suppliers, checking and comparing quotations.

Place orders after approving quotations, ensure that deliveries are done on time and check deliveries for correctness

Check invoices for correctness and collection of outstanding funds

SAGE ONE ACCOUNTING administration (issuing invoices, reading invoices, cost allocations, preparation of reports etc.)

Electronic payments and record keeping thereof

Management and stock purchases for the farm shop

Arranging and noting meetings

Monthly salary payments, issuing of pay slips and submitting EMP201 (UIF, ETI, PAYE)

Maintaining diesel control system and monthly submission of diesel rebate rates at SARS

Updating balance sheet

Drawing down on deliveries and following up on outstanding deliveries

Scheduling of motorcycles and vehicle services

Renewal of craft licenses

Filing and general office administration (emails, communication with suppliers and customers, providing feedback on inquiries, preparation of letters, etc.)

Record keeping of employee database

Handling of directors’ personal matters, if necessary

Maintain open communication and good working relationships

Must be able to work under pressure.
