Machadodorp Area – Mpumalanga: Our client is looking for a candidate who has experience with livestock, able to ride a horse and has experience with fly fishing to join the team.

Due to the accommodation on the farm this position would suit a mature couple or single person.

This is an ENTRY LEVEL position.

Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1-year previous farm/lodge management or field guide experience
• Relevant Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
• General farm management skills
• Experience in cattle management.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
• Fit and strong and healthy – job requires physical work
• Able to ride a horse
• Strong management & communication skills
• Fly fishing experience an advantage
• Sober habits
• Must have excellent people skills to interact with guests
• Maintenance orientated – plumbing and electricity and general building an advantage.
• Valid code 8 driver’s license

RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Guest liaison and host.
• Building maintenance and farm maintenance. General farm management duties. Maintain the roads, lawns and cut firewood.
• Manage the cattle, experience in cattle management an advantage.
• Exercise and take care of the horses. Take guests on outrides.
• Fly fishing guidance.
• Firebreaks.
• Farm watch
