CITRUS ORCHARD MANAGER – FM1899

Eshowe Area – KwaZulu Natal: Our client is looking for a Citrus Orchard Manager to join the team.

The successful candidate will manage 270ha of citrus made up of Lemmon/Grapefruit/Orange and will report to the GM as well as the owner.

Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric with mathematics
Minimum of 10 years management experience in citrus, preferably obtained on more than one farm/location.
Ability to both compile and work to a budget.
Previous packhouse experience advantageous
Experience with Degreening/ Electronic grading/Packing standards/Logistics/working with export agents advantageous
Computer literate
Excellent attention to detail with good results at present employer.
A strong knowledge of production, harvest, irrigation, spraying, pruning, fertilization, and general orchard management.
Strong Inter person relations with good communication and people skills.
Ability to work with a large labor force, to motivate and get good productivity
A strong work ethic and leading by example
A clear criminal record and with no criminal cases pending.
Valid drivers license
