Verena Area (between Bronkhorstspruit & Groblersdal) – Mpumalanga: Our client is looking for a Cherry Production Farm Manager to join the team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A degree / diploma in Agriculture advantageous
- Previous cherry farming experience
- Computer literate
- Experience with Global GAP and SIZA will be beneficial.
- Attention to detail, willingness to learn and promptness to.
- Must be able to take independent decisions at times and be 110% trustworthy.
- Must be maintenance orientated
- Ability to work with and motivate a team
- Valid driver’s license
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Oversee all functions related to cherry cultivation, including planting, pruning, thinning, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
- Manage irrigation systems.
- Manage, motivate and lead workforce.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance on orchard equipment.
- Oversee weekly spraying and fertilizer applications.
- Coordinate the installation and maintenance of orchard infrastructure.
- Managing of caravan park and camping site on farm premises. Oversee cleaning, maintenance and guest check-in.
