MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and statutory submissions.
- Experience with payroll processing and HR administration.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements in the agricultural or food industry (advantageous).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Finance & Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records and process transactions efficiently.
- Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and financial reports.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.) on time.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
Packhouse Administration & Compliance:
- Support daily packhouse operations to ensure smooth workflow.
Assist with compliance documentation for avocado and kiwi industry standards. - Prepare for and support external audits and inspections.
- Maintain records related to food safety, quality control, and compliance
Payroll & HR Duties:
- Process payroll accurately and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain employee records, contracts, and leave schedules.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and general HR administration.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and workplace regulations.
