Mooi River Area – KwaZulu Natal: Our client is looking for an Assistant Farm Manager to join the team.

Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Agricultural Diploma / Degree advantageous
• Previous Dairy & Crop farming experience
• Previous pasture management experience advantageous
• Proven irrigation/pivot experience essential
• Computer literate
• Must be willing to work weekends & have sober habits
• Maintenance orientated
• Ability to speak Zulu essential
• Valid drivers’ license with own vehicle for private use

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Running of centre pivots and maintenance
• Measuring of pastures with rising plate meter
• Maintenance of fencing – electric and standard fencing
• Assisting in reaping and planting of maize
• Assisting in planting pastures
• Water reticulation
• Assisting in heifer management
