The successful candidate will be responsible for all farming operations reporting to the Board, and for the planning and execution of new projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Agricultural degree or equivalent
- Post graduate business qualification would be a strong advantage
- Minimum of 10 years in farming operations industry with at least 5 years at senior management level
- Proven sound financial background
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with board, staff, customers and regulators
- Previous processing plant and abattoir experience advantageous
- Strong management and communication skills
- Must be fluent in written English
- Computer literate
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Systems and reporting for all farming operations involving inter alia:
- Dairy farming on irrigated pastures – 1000 herd size
- Wagyu farming on irrigated pastures and dryland rotational grazing with feed supplementation – 4 000 herd size
- Feed production on pastures and with cropping
- Partner producers for the finishing of Wagyu cattle and the growing of green feed.
- Partner producers for the rearing of Wagyu calves to 90 days
- Artisan abattoir 20 head per day
- 40 t per day feed mill
